A brand-new day. A brand-new experience.
It’s simple, really. I love music. I launched the KU label so I could release the music I want to hear. And while this remains the same, I’ve built a platform for the artists I work with. I’ve created a space where you can learn more about the KU collective, our music and my curation. I hope this new experience conveys our growth from an online-record store to a home for musicians, producers, DJs and you. – Dan Englander (KU Owner)
It’s been a 15-year grind but an amazing journey. This is much more than a job to me, it’s my lifestyle and also a labour of love. I get excited still to this day from releasing an unknown or an established artist’s music. I don’t think that feeling of being able to help an artist get their music out will ever go. I take a lot of pleasure in the quality of sound on KU Music by putting a lot of consideration into professional mixing, mastering, design and down to the finishing touches which makes me very proud of the quality of the releases.
I was very excited to have the opportunity to work with creative-designer, iamnaomidesign for the launch of this new KU platform. Design and aesthetics are extremely important to us. Everything you see from the re-branding of the colours, capturing sizzle videos, to the intricate layout of each page is all thanks to Naomi. She worked so unbelievably hard on the project, it went above and beyond any expectations. You can checkout all her work on her Instagram and website.
Customer service has always been very important to me. KingUnderground.com is a place of respect for our artists and community. I care deeply what the supporters think and how they feel about the music and our collective.
